The present study examines the reach and effectiveness of selected government welfare schemes in a ward of Lar town, district Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. A survey research design was adopted to evaluate the availability, accessibility, and awareness of major government initiative among rural residents. Data were collected from 118 voluntarily participating respondents through a structured questionnaire consisted of seven items related to key schemes, including Pradhan mantri ujjwala yojana, ayushman bharat card, Pradhan mantri kisan samman nidhi, swachh bharat mission (toilet facility), old age pension scheme, visit by ASHA workers, and awareness efforts by local representatives such as ward member and chairperson of town.
