Recent Trends in Civil Engineering & Technology [2249-8753(e)]Â is a peer-reviewed hybrid open-access journal launched in 2011 focused on the rapid publication of fundamental research papers on all areas of Civil Engineering and Technology. The scope of the journal includes original research findings that fall under the broad field of Civil Engineering and technology.

- Structural engineering: analysis and design of buildings, bridges, and industrial structures, reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel and composite structures, masonry and timber structures, structural elements including beams, columns, plates, shells, and arches, stability and buckling, and finite element modelling of structural systems.
- Earthquake engineering and structural dynamics: seismic hazard and loading, performance-based seismic design, nonlinear static and dynamic analysis, base isolation and energy dissipation devices, tuned mass and hysteretic dampers, retrofitting of existing structures, shake table and experimental assessment, and earthquake loss estimation.
- Geotechnical engineering: soil mechanics and soil behaviour, site investigation and characterisation, shallow and deep foundations, retaining and earth support structures, excavation and shoring, slope stability and stabilisation, ground improvement techniques, geosynthetics, and soil–structure interaction.
