International Journal of Midwifery Nursing and Practices is a peer-reviewed hybrid open-access journal launched in 2015 that deals with pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period (including care of the newborn), besides the sexual and reproductive health of women throughout their lives. It focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life.

• Family Planning & Contraception: contraceptive methods and efficacy, family planning counseling and shared decision-making, fertility awareness and natural family planning, implantable and long-acting reversible contraceptive methods, emergency contraception and access to care, adolescent reproductive health and contraceptive access, contraceptive side effects and management, and equity and access to family planning services
• Preconception Care & Health Optimization: preconception health assessment and counseling, maternal and paternal health optimization, chronic disease management before pregnancy, nutritional assessment and supplementation, lifestyle modification and substance use cessation, genetic counseling and risk assessment, mental health screening and support, and environmental and occupational health considerations
• Pregnancy Health & Prenatal Care: prenatal care models and accessibility, pregnancy physiology and physiological changes, pregnancy-related diseases and complications, maternal nutrition and supplementation, infectious disease and TORCH screening in pregnancy, congenital abnormalities and prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound and fetal assessment, pregnancy immunization and vaccination, and outcomes in prenatal care and health promotion
