    Special Issue Description

    Dear Collegues,

The purpose of this study was to analyze the knowledge and attitudes of pharmacy professors and professionals in India on pharmacognosy, which had not before been evaluated. It also aimed to highlight some of the significant issues associated with the field. Since ancient times, pharmacognosy has gained more prominence for its role in research and pharmacy.

One of the oldest scientific fields, pharmacognosy, is currently undergoing significant development. Instead of being developed as galenical formulations or using standard doses, plant-based medications are currently studied and developed within the context of modern medicine. The subject is changing from galenical to genomic.
