Special Issue Description
Dear Collegues,
The development of next-generation, reasonably priced chemical and biosensor devices has plenty of potential thanks to recent developments in micro- and nanotechnology as well as the electrospinning technique.
Electrospun micro and nano-structures are excellent choices for a range of sensing applications because they can provide high sensitivity and reaction time due to their high surface area per volume unit. These sensors can be used for a variety of tasks, including environmental and bio-industrial analysis and medical diagnosis. Due to their capacity to be reversibly oxidized or reduced by the application of electrical potentials, conducting electroactive polymers are used in a wide range of amazing sensing applications. Conducting electroactive polymers combines the functions of a matrix immobilization template with the production of analytical signals for biosensing applications. The most prevalent conducting electroactive polymers have electronic conductivities of up to 104 1 and are made of polypyrrole, polyaniline, and polythiophene.

Manuscript Submission information
Manuscripts should be submitted online by registering and logging in to this link. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent on email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
