This special issue focuses on the advancements and challenges of digital design and manufacturing technologies for Industry 4.0. With the increasing need for agile and flexible manufacturing systems, there is a growing demand for digital technologies that can enable seamless integration of design and manufacturing processes. This special issue invites original research articles, reviews, and case studies that highlight the latest developments in digital design and manufacturing technologies for Industry 4.0. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to share their latest findings and insights into the use of digital design and manufacturing technologies for Industry 4.0, intending to advance the state-of-the-art in this field.
