Novel Phytochemical Constituents Identified from the bark of Myrica esculenta

Abstract Submission Deadline : November 30, 2023

Manuscript Submission Deadline : December 25, 2023

Special Issue Description

n-Hexane was used to separate new phytochemical components from the hexane extract of myrica esculenta seeds. Chemical analysis and spectral methods (IR, 1H MR, 13C NMR, mass spectrum, elemental analysis) were used to identify the two novel compounds. Both 5-formyl-2-(propane-2-yl) phenyl acetate and 2, 4-diformyl-6-(propane-2-yl) phenyl acetate have been found. The isolated compounds’ anticancer capabilities have been evaluated, and they have demonstrated a range of activity. This is the first report of these new chemicals.
