The monetization of culture, land displacement or expropriation, and adjustments to local populations’ values and way of life are all potential effects of tourism and tourism development. When the tourism sector expands, indigenous tribes frequently experience these repercussions. Overtourism can also lower the quality of life for locals by driving up housing costs, restricting employment options, and/or exposing them to improper use of public places. Planners can use the data from tourism impact studies to create a planning strategy that takes into account local challenges and concerns. Therefore, the purpose of the current investigation is to investigate how tourism has affected the growth of the community. The main goal of identifying tourist impacts is to also determine any potential drawbacks of tourism development and strategies to make it beneficial to all local citizens. Through a literature analysis, the study’s scope identifies the impacts of tourism across various categories. It highlights the necessary steps to improve these impacts in a way that benefits the community while presenting various forms of impacts. When the amount of tourist usage exceeds the environment’s capacity to handle this use within accepted limitations of change, tourism has a negative impact. Unrestrained traditional tourism has risks. various natural sites around the world could face danger. It can place a great deal of strain on a region and have bad impacts including soil erosion, increased pollution, discharges into the sea, loss of natural habitat, greater pressure on endangered species, and increased susceptibility to forest fires. It frequently strains water supplies and it might make local communities fight for access to vital resources.
