Enhancing Electro Luminescence properties of Light Emission polymers

Abstract Submission Deadline : 30/11/2023

Manuscript Submission Deadline : 25/12/2023

Special Issue Description

The process of radiative recombination of electrons and holes in a material, often a semiconductor, results in electroluminescence. The energized electrons emit photons as a release of their energy (light). As a result, the phenomenon is both an optical and an electrical phenomenon. Organic polymers are called electroluminescent polymers to emit light when an electric field is applied to them. Light emission is caused by the radiative relaxation of excited states produced by the recombination of opposite-sign charge carriers (holes and electrons) that have been introduced into the polymer thin film by electrodes (the cathode and anode, respectively) from an external circuit. A polymer light-emitting diode (PLED) or, more generally, an organic light-emitting diode is the end product (OLED).OLEDs, an alternative to incandescent and fluorescent lights as well as inorganic LEDs, have gained significant technological interest in recent years for the manufacture of flat panel displays (such as TV and computer screens) and low energy consumption lighting (mainly based on III–V group mixed crystal semiconductors).Conjugated polymers with long-range p-electron delocalization act as semiconducting materials in their neutral undoped state and as processable organic “metals” in their doped state. In the visible and near-infrared spectrum, numerous undoped polymers show strong photoluminescence (PL). A variety of Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) properties, including polymer volume, absorption color, and reversible PL quenching, are altered while switching between doped and undoped states.

Keywords

Electroluminescence, Light Emitting Polymer (LEP), Photoluminescence (PL), Organic light-emitting diodes, Light emitting diodes, Optical films

Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the manuscript Engine. Once you register on APID, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline.
All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a Double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
