Abstract

India is a rapidly developing country in the world. As a growing economy it is important to manage its waste. In India on an average 64 million tons of detritus is produced which ranks 5th in the global scenario. Nowadays in many localities garbage is thrown around arbitrarily and roads are full of litter. These unplanned things cause many problems and sometimes it may cause hazardous diseases. With the potential waste sorting, real-time monitoring, and data analytics, this project seeks to alleviate the shortcomings of traditional dustbins. As environmental sustainability becomes a more pressing worldwide concern, novel methods to address waste management issues are being developed. We present the design and implementation of a Smart Dustbin system equipped with a Smart Solar Panel, aimed at optimizing waste collection and promoting renewable energy utilization and reducing dependency on traditional energy sources and mitigating environmental impact. It incorporates various sensors to detect the level of real-time data for efficient waste management. Wi-Fi to transmit data to a centralized server or a mobile application, enabling remote monitoring and control. The integration of a Smart Solar Panel ensures continuous and sustainable operation of the system with cost-effective and eco-friendly solution for efficient waste management in urban environments. The main goals are to lessen the impact on the environment, streamline waste management procedures, and help build smarter, more sustainable urban environments.
