Special Issue Description

A multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer must include the medical specialty of radiation oncology (radiotherapy/radiotherapy). It makes use of high-energy x-rays (photons), which are typically delivered by a linear accelerator. These non-invasive, painless therapeutic x-rays are used to treat a variety of malignancies. A multidisciplinary team composed of radiation oncologists (your specialist doctor), nurses, radiation therapists, and medical physicists will assess you, plan your treatment, administer it, and assist you with any side effects you may experience. The linear accelerator is located within a cancer center. Radiation oncology uses cutting-edge technology and cutting-edge treatment methods. Many cancer patients have profited from recent advancements, which have led to improved cure rates, fewer side effects, quicker recovery times, and fewer treatments overall. The capacity to accurately direct radiation beams to cancer while minimizing damage to vital nearby organs is made possible by new technology’s motion management systems and tumor tracking capabilities.
