Abstract

This work investigates a novel authentication approach for online voting systems that includes facial recognition verification. The goal is to create an automated voting system that increases election security and voter convenience. Voters prefer to cast their ballots in designated areas, such as polling booths, resulting in long lines and the majority of people missing out on the chance to vote. Ineligible voters may potentially fabricate their ballots, generating a variety of complications. As a result, we developed a viable and efficient voting technique or system to govern this project. Furthermore, this strategy may reduce government spending on election-related expenses. The overall goal of this project is to lessen the workload of Indian election commission officers while simultaneously assisting. Make use of your phone to vote while utilizing your face for safe identification. With Android voting systems that use facial recognition, this future vision is closer than you might believe. These methods provide less fraud, faster procedures, and increased ability to significantly affect elections. Voters may increase turnout by eliminating the need for physical IDs and instead using their smartphones for facial authentication. However, confidentiality and safety are crucial considerations. The use of facial recognition technology raises concerns about data collecting and possible abuse. Furthermore, maintaining offline voting alternatives and system integrity is crucial for promoting confidence and equality. Android voting with facial recognition is a potential approach to bring elections into the contemporary century, but before using a digital vote, examine the ethical and legal ramifications. Though face-detecting Android voting is an exciting option for the future of elections, caution should be used. Before blindly implementing this technological advance, it is necessary to carefully think through its ethical and legal ramifications. We can fully fulfill the promise of modern technology to boost the process of democracy and empower voters without sacrificing fundamental rights and security unless we engage in a transparent discussion and deal with it responsibly. Understand that using a digital ballot should not risk our right to privacy or the integrity of the system it was designed to strengthen.
